I just got back from Fringe festival 2005. I’ve checked out 6 shows.
Vancouver Fringe Festival (http://www.vancouverfringe.com/) was on Vancouver Granville Island from Sep 8th ~ 18th. Lots of plays were going on and on. and I bought a student apss, and I reallly enjoyed it!
1. Jem Rolls’ Charm offensive. Big word Performance poetry
I saw this show by accident, which means, I wanted to see another show, but I confused the day, so I saw another one, which is this. This was 1 man show comedy, and he has Scotish accent, and just talking. Actually I couldn’t almost get it. He was amazing entusiastic anyway.
2. Check… Mate?
I watched it with another cycle students. Roy and Erica. it was good, and easy to follow, 2 actoresses, nice acting.
3. Broadway show.
5 Actress, musical, sexual comedy, hilarious. Recommended! nice music, dance, act. at ‘Perfomance Works’
4. Boy Groove
Also at ‘Perfomance Works’ dance, music, act. sexual joke, awesome dance, beat and Groove! Also very recommended!
5. The Gospel According to Kazoo!
It was ok, good enough play, not really related to gospel. Nice ideas, 2 actor, 1 actress. Guitar plays, and harmonies.
6. The TJ Dawe Box Set
It was also 1 man comedy, but it was a lot better than Jem Rolls at least for me. Lain really liked it. closer look on normal stuff.
Do you know why “Fuck You” is a complement?
